Eat healthy and stay active on a budget!
Austin Public Health offers a free, 4-week program for adults and teens. Here is what you learn each 90-minute session weekly :
- Week 1: Meet Your Plate -Learn how to use MyPlate to plan your meals. We will also talk about the best ways to eat and stay active to keep your body strong.
- Week 2: Smart Shopping & Moving -Learn how to read Nutrition Labels on food packages to find the best choices. We will also find fun ways to stay active, even when life gets busy.
- Week 3: Plan Your Meal – Learn how to plan your meals and shop for groceries to save money. We will also share tips on how to add more fruits and veggies to your day.
- Week 4: Healthy Habits for Life -Learn how to make healthy eating a part of your daily routine. We will also review everything we learned about staying active and feeling great!
